Mini Envelope Cushion - Stage Three
Once your child can sew safely and with some accuracy we then allow the children to move on to Stage Three. These workshops are designed in such a way that it enables children to expand their knowledge of the sewing machine, discuss fabric construction, learn how to pin and cut out a pattern accurately, use simple construction techniques and learn how to use an iron safely.
Using the knowledge gained in your first lesson your child will get to choose from a selection of lovely cotton fat quarters. They will then make a cushion cover with a flap envelope opening to cover a cushion pad.
In this lesson you child will learn how to:
- Choose the correct fabric for a cushion
- Recognise symbols and sewing terminology
- Pin and cut out accurately
- Sew seams and finish edges
2hr. Materials and pad are included in the price
