Whether you are a complete beginner or just been given a new machine, this lesson is for you.
I've been running this workshop since I opened my shop in Christchurch in 2013 and it's still one of our most popular workshops. It's the perfect introduction to your sewing journey and will give you the ability and confidence to undertake beginners sewing projects.
In this workshop sewing machines are provided so their is no need to bring yours from home.
You will learn how to:
- Change the settings
- Thread a machine
- Sew with accuracy
- Sew straight, curved lines and turn corners
- Identify and fix common problems
- Maintain your machine
As well as learning lots of tips and tricks!
You will complete a number of samples and make a small pin cushion.
The course is held at Suzie’s Home Sewing Studio; a calm, clean environment in which to learn where tea, coffee and biscuits are constantly on tap and, Holly, my gorgeous West Highland Terrier will be there to say hello (I can shut her away if needed).
The Workshop is two and half hours and there will be a maximum of four in a class
Due to the nature of the workshops and the limited availability of places if you wish to cancel a workshop you must cancel the workshop at least seven (7) days before the class commences . We will either refund or transfer you on to the next available Workshop. If a refund is required a small transaction charge is withheld.
If fewer than 3 people book on this workshop it may be cancelled. If this happens you will be offered a full refund or a place on the next available workshop which ever you would prefer.
